Almadén Mining Park, a short tour through its facilities.

An authentic mine from the 16th century open to the public, its museums and the mining interpretation centre.
Almadén, mercury and silver.

Feature broadcast by RTVE's programme Crónicas. “We are travelling to what was once the greatest mercury deposit on the planet, and we are profiling the memory of a town whose source of wealth ceased to be profitable."
The Almadén Mines, closer to being declared World Heritage (RTVCM).

Almadén is walking hand-in-hand with the city of Idrija, in Slovenia, and San Luis de Potosí, in Mexico, to obtain a declaration as world heritage for the intercontinental route taking mercury - from the Almadén mines to America - to extract precious metals.
